REVIEWS:
Your video, New Skills for Blind Dogs has been extremely helpful in my adjustment. I am such a visual learner and watching the video made me feel like you were right beside me coaching. I am most impressed with your knowledge and skills in ophthalmology and dogs and how you combined the two to help animal lovers like me!

While the book has excellent, comprehensive instructions
on training blind and low-vision dogs, there is nothing
that helps in dog training as much as seeing an actual
example. This video offers gentle, reward-based, practical
examples of training these dogs.

This video is exactly what people with blind and low
vision dogs need. A visual makes the book (Living
With Blind Dogs) come to life. Seeing the training steps makes
it easier to learn.

This film is a great tool for people with a dog that
is either going blind or already blind. It features
two dogs - one that had some vision and one that had
lost all vision. Each of these dogs gave an important "view
point" to the film.
New Skills for Blind Dogs gives the pet
owner some specific training ideas to help the dog
adjust. Levin shows exactly how a toy can be used
to motivate the dog in more than situation. I particularly
like how the ball is used to motivate the dog to "move
forward" and also as a reward for stopping/waiting.
The step-by-step instruction for going up and down stairs
was particularly good. Levin shows
how to drop a food tidbit onto paper so that it makes
a noise and teaches the dog to lower his head and step
down.
Levin is very good at putting these basics into use.
She is a pleasing narrator, as well. This is a special
work and I’m impressed with it. New Skills
for Blind Dogs is A MUST as a companion to the book Living
With Blind Dogs.
